Looking to purchase a dashcam. Would like to be able to record minimum 720p, preferably 1080p video, use a microSD card, and be easily movable among vehicles. Having a monitor to see what's recording would be extremely helpful as well. I'm open to using a GoPro or similar device that would be better from a portability standpoint, but I'd prefer not to spend that much. Less than $200 is good, less than $100 even better. Recommendations are appreciated.

I personally use a Thinkware X300, which would hit all your points except maybe the mobility between cars (it attaches to a base that adheres to your windshield).

Yeah, that's not going to work. The cam would need a suction cup mount because it would be moved at least once a week.

I have a solution to that. Remove the original adhesive, clean mounting bracket with isopropyl, and apply this velcro-type stuff (similar to what's pre-applied to the back of a Fastoll), and mount to the windshield. I use the same type of setup so I can move my dashcam between my 2003 Sierra and 1992 Silverado. Everything holds just fine.

That won’t work in my specific situation because I review cars, which has me switching into new ones every week.

Maybe one of those dashboard mat things that are intended for GPS units?
