Agreed. The only thing you can do is wait for the final product. If it's rubbish I'll definitely be the first to call it such.
The deceptive marketing surrounding the Witcher 3 downgrade and playing coy until they could no longer deny it. He was banned a while ago.
Everyone brings up the "downgrade" when they lose the forest for the trees that it was still a STELLAR game that redefined open world RPGs. I honestly knew nothing about the "downgrade" until later after I had been half way through the game and was like ..eh... this is a great game why are people so enraged about this? People just like to be enraged about things it seems. Again, maybe I can be empathetic towards that knowing that they had to make some technical sacrifices to make an actually optimized playable game vs what they showed early on without a lot of logic and mechanics in place. I'm sure they learned from that from a marketing perspective. Creating these games is IMMENSELY complicated with complex systems interacting and tons of branching logic. One small thing can throw the whole balance or sequence of events into unintended states. No one seems to use any perspective and just likes to knee-jerk react to something. EDIT:: .. wait, why did that person get banned what happened?
There is no doubt this game will be good..u guys talk about it like it's an exception to game development norms..all games created have a dynamic process
A lot of PC gamers issue with the Witcher 3 "downgrade", was that PCs could have handled the graphic fidelity from the original trailers no problem, yet CDPR stripped it out to maintain parity with the console versions, to keep console players happy.
