Thanks for the awesome info you've provided so far, for me at least you've already answered the biggest questions. Will you be looking at the X5 V7?

    Thanks and it's my pleasure.

I'm actually eyeing the x3, but the x5 may be in the horizon...

Ooh, I am intrigued by both. Since I'm already leaning toward waiting for Coffee Lake/Volta, knowing that each handles its current hardware well will help me know if I should keep them in the running next Spring/Summer when I buy. The x3 is more the form factor I'm looking for, but if it's a furnace even after liquid metal I'm not interested. Though I'm still tempted by the big jump in GPU power that the 15" form factor inevitably offers. It makes me wish they'd get rid of space for a lot of the extra components and use it for extra cooling, I only need space for 2 RAM sticks and a 1TB EVO. Give me more fans with the rest of that space, or more battery since the x3 apparently isn't close to the legal limit for planes. I don't care if more battery and heatsinks/fans make it heavier and louder, keep the dimensions about the same and we'll all be happy.

Hey, I'm planning on getting an Aero 15 and I'm not in too much of a rush, just need it before the fall semester starts at the college I'm going to. Anyway I live in NC and was wondering if you are going to post a guide on how to do the things you did to the laptop and if not, do you know anyone in NC that does stuff like what you did to the laptop? Or if not, could I potentially contract you for the thermal job?

Still waiting on your review iunlock! I went with the free CLU option upgrade and I'm now reading about the difference with CLU and ICD. People said to go with CLU if the heatsink has good contact if not ICD would be better because I won't worry about shorting out anything. I'm not sure how good of a job GenTechPC will do this and now it worries me. My order is still in processing phase so I might still be able to change it, what do you think?

Recently lucked out and bought the aero 15 from another individual who regretted their purchase for some reason. Only cost me 1.6k usd. Waiting on your comprehensive review as well!

ICD is a no go and is only good for a bandaid fix. It is on the bottom of my thermal paste list.
Pics are done and the write up is pretty much ready to go. It'll be known and wide spread once it is released.
I've been really busy with work, family and traveling. Things should settle down thia coming week.
I'll get back to you certainly. Thanks for your patience.
