    Jolly good morning!!

I have a couple of questions for you clevo-ers ;)

In late January I'll be buying a new machine and I'm considering buying a Clevo.

In my case a 1060 would be overkill, so I'm holding out for the 1050ti. Do you think the p650+1050ti combo will be available or are they more likely to stick in it on the n150 chassis? If so, at what price point?

Also, can we upgrade the p650 screen panel at will? I would like to upgrade to a good 100+ hz, 4k screen down the line.. say a couple of years from now when 4k is better supported by windows and windows programmes.

    Thanks ;)

The P650xx has Optimus; if you don't really demand much from a dedicated GPU, do you think you could manage with the iGPU for your applications?

I don't know of any news about a 1050ti in any Clevo at the moment.

So far no word on what they're doing with the 1050ti, whether it will make its way to the P650 is anyones guess. I'd probably say it will go to the lower models. but I imagine it will depend on actual instead of rumored specs.

Having at least a 1050ti would be nice for the occasional gaming. I also move a lot so an eGPU is also not an ideal option.

Yeah, it would make sense.. the p650 is already housing 3 or 4 different Pascal GPUs.

What about screen replacement? Is it easy to buy aftermarket panels?

    Thanks guys!

Last year there was a P650 available with up to (or better "down" to) the 960m gtx. Not many models for purchase, but they existed nevertheless. Most others had a 965m gtx or higher gpus.

If the 1050 gtx shall replace both the 960m and 965m, I'd say there is chance for it to be in the P650. Speculating more it might be that only the 1050 Ti (with 4GB) will come to the P650 model, and the 1050 non-Ti (2GB) will come to the N150 model series. But that's all guesswork based on gpus/model from last year.

However there is also a chance that Clevo wants to strictly divide high-end and midrange models, and will release the 1050 only in the N150 chassis. I don't know. Well... I guess we need to wait until it arrives.

Pretty easy. An LCD swap on this model isn't very difficult either (unless you're replacing the video cable as well).

Clevo doesn't glue their screens like some mfgs so shouldn't be terribly difficult. Getting a panel that fits may be a little trickier, needs to have both the same dimensions and connector.

It must have slipped by me! I remember the n150 getting a 960 and the 965 but not the p650. A p650+1050ti combo would be great.

That's great news! What specs do I have to keep an eye out for when buying a replacement panel?

Yes you should see lower spec Pascal 10 series GPUs coming early next year. What size of screen are you looking for? What kind of price range?

I'm in the market for a 15 incher at around 1000€ but I'll bring my own ram and ssd. I can go a little beyond the 1000€ but not much.

I think the 1050ti would be enough for me in terms of graphics but I do prefer the robustness and expandability of the p650 chassis compared to the n150..
