I can confirm that the last version of CIS doesn't make the computer slow like it did last summer.
The computer I used is 6 years old, with 3 GB RAM and W7 64 installed.

It is a known issue that came with a version released sometime may-june last year.
Dunno how long it was available, but if you're use anything older or newer you've probably never heard about this.

I first installed it on my brothers brand new computer which have a Crucial M4, but after installing it was soooo slow, not just a little bit busy, and it had nothing to do with scanning, it was slow all the time.

Yeah... MSE + Windows Firewall (to name a combination).

I see no purpose in Internet Security Suites.
They seem like a pretty big overkill... but as far as 'Internet Security Suites' go... Comodo seems like the best option (free-wise of course).

The OP's preferences seem to waffle a lot in his infrequent but all AV related posts. I love comodo defense+ and firewall, not so much their AV.

    Seems like troll bait.

All I use is MSE and Comodo Firewall. I'm happy.

Comparing protection offered by AV's against protection of entire security suites is useless.

I'm not going to respond to the first two links (although the second site does have a mirror page offering 'Why do people HATE Comodo povs link) but what's so difficult to understand about the Matousec test?
    IT....IS...NOT....AN....AV....TEST!!!!

    CIS is NOT an AV.
And it certainly is NOT the only viable 64-bit AV.

And no, Comodo isn't the only free Internet Security Suite.
    Outpost also offers one link.
I do think Comodo/CIS offers the stronger suite but it certainly isn't the only free one. Pffff...
