I reformatted my laptop, installed all the drivers ect. When I power on the computer I get a pop up box...
    cli.exe-Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click ok to terminate the application.

    ???

If you didn't apply the .NET 1.1 update before installing the ATI Catalyst drivers, you'll get this error. Install the .NET update and you should be ok.

.Net framework can be downloaded from the windows update page (the software section). When you go to http://update.microsoft.com/ chose custom and then it will appear under the software section. You can get version 1.1 or 2.0 I belive both work for the Ati drivers.

OR you can opt to use omega drivers www.omegadrivers.net that don't require the .Net framework to work

Those faulty drivers would still be hanging around, so it's a much better idea to install the update to fix the problem. It's easy to install the .NET update.

Does it matter whether I use 1.1 or 2.0?
