clevo p775tm1-G cpu / lcd upgrade

    Hi guys ive checked araund and didnt found a clear answer thats why this topic!

    i know the p775tm1-g supports i9-9900K but does it also support the i9-9900KF ?
    Since i cant get a new 9900k anywhere in my country but i can get a 9900KF..

    Also i saw a seller ( ali ) selling 240/360HZ screens for p775tm1-g including a lcd cable. wud this work ??

    hope to know some answers to this then i know what to do! Greetings

    9900kf will work plug and play (since is practically the same chip). Dunno about the display tough:oops:

    About the screen yeah im amazed to even have come across it.
    I Hope someone wil know the answer to it cause that wud be truly great! they even have a 4k 120 hz screen for this model :)

    Ok now I understand what is going on.
    What display do you have in your TM right now, if you have 120/144 hz you might not need another cable.
    A custom display not supported by bios, even though it is supported electrically, specific functions such as brightness control and/or Gsync might not work.

    i see! Its a 75hz gsync thats inside the laptop now. I dont really care for gsync to work or not. Most likely it wont work anymore since its not a gsync panel. Brightness shud work i hope tho! Im willing to give it a try as long it is supported electronicly. I mean as long it doesnt kill my mainbord.

    The BIOS has a white list of panels for internal G-sync regardless if the panel is or is not too.

    In this case look up your current panel (hwinfo) and check the pinout.

    Hi mr Sager :) thanks for ur comment! ive checked HW info and my panel is the LG Philips LP173WF4-SPF5
    Pinout as in datasheet and compare it to the one thats being sold ?

    So yes that's a 30 pin connector so you would need a 40 pin cable too to get a 120hz or high resolution panel.
