That is on the LPC site if I remember correctly, the P750TM-G1/2/3. The difference in naming and pricing lies in the screen, the CPU, and the GPU. However, if you select the G3 variant and choose all the G1 option, the price is that of G1.

For 8700K option, you can contact the vendor and let them know. They'll instruct you on how to leave a note so that you can get 8700K with 2080. Donald@HID confirmed this via email with me. I imagine LPC would be doing something similar.

That's fair, I just thought it was an entertaining quirk given that the configurators are almost all identically structured AND vendors are obviously offering options on request. I picture a Clevo how-to-layout-options style guide.

To be honest, just value in options. They achieve similar performance in different ways that I thought would have been of value. Maybe not appealing to the market? Or just the option of charging more for the 9700k by default.

true, one of the most appealing factors for LGA clevo machines are their vast range of hardware options. if you dont mind tinkering a bit, then the cheapest way to get a high specced system would be to buy a barebone and organize the individual components via aftermarket purchase :)
and yes, depending on the software either the 8700k takes the lead with 4 more threads or the 9700k with its additional 2 physical cores.

Some tasks will run better with 12 threads. Clevo have 8 and 9th gen as specs on their website.

The 8 cores will be a bit more universal and the silicon will clock a bit better usually.

This might be the wrong thread (is this dedicated to RTX models?), but I just got my P750TM1-G from HIDEvolution and can't wait to start using it. After ten years with the same Dell, I can't even really fathom what the difference will feel like.

In my old Dell, just integrated graphics, but a GTX 1060 in the new Clevo.
