The caps wont be transparent and they are almost laminated in construction.

True. Maybe I can reuse the caps from a Greencell MSI GT70 keyboard that I bought thinking it would work on my clevo? probably won't fit, but can give it a try...

    Yes 980m will work.

The EM keyboards have the LEDs glued on. You can only remove the stupidly heavy steel backplate, and that requires very carefully peeling off the glued on keyboard cable. If you don't care for preserving the keyboard though it may be possible.

I thought the p570wm was the one with the steel back plate? I think the normal em keyboards did not come with that.

IIRC all P---EM models used the same keyboard with the steel plate (excluding the non-RGB 151EM).

I might never have removed my EM one I suppose, I thought it was an extra on the P570wm since it was not really concerned with weight, I guess the more you know :)

not so worries about preserving the keyboard, got a coupl eof spare ones to give it a try... ;)

and I guess that a hot air blower to melt the glue is out of the question... :p

I'll try to take fotos in case it works :)
