    When looking to go above 5Ghz (or towards max of any chip) it's not really suitable for 24/7 anyway. Just run it for the benching.

    Its always anywhere between 1.3-1.5V , and is rather irrelevant.

    I modified the old IHS, are other people using shims after delids or modifying the mounting?

    All depends on the fits between IHS and heatsink. If you run into the Cpu bracket lottery... Remove C-clips, then add suitable washers between screw head and steel spring. Don't put back the C-clips. Shims between IHS and HS if the fits is really bad. Maybe the Cpu heatsink on the newer TM models is better. I don't know.
