    Hello,

In short: I guess I need some diagnosis information of the blink codes on the led when a error is present or some advice how to lookup the shutdown log in bios and or Ubuntu live usb.

The Power LED, the most right of the four indicators flashes orange when fans start to spin up and then 30 seconds and it halts

I recently got a ‘N957TP6’. It worked well for about an Month, but then suddenly a Error Message appeared (power bios something bla bla if I remember right, looked like a runtime error). It locked/freezed completely so I decided to cut the power (without taking a picture of the error ). I was like okay maybe I played to long and it was late anyways so I let it sit there till next morning. When i started up everything appeared to be working and I was just about to find my Windows 10 DVD to do a clean reinstall (I usually do this after ‘hard’ shutdowns or bigger errors, just for the feeling )
But then the fans spinned up like a Jumbojet to 100% maybe and after some time it hard shutdown without any further notice. Started again, same thing, always between 30-240 seconds roundabout till halt. Fans are lasting like 15-30 seconds on full throttle then finish. Then I tried to reinstall Windows, same thing. After I tried to reset settings in bios I noticed it’s also happening right in the bios screen so it’s pretty ‘low level’ issue? From this time I knew I’m ****ed :(
I tried to reflash every chip I was able to locate in the service manual (bios, ec, ime)
I know bad thing to do but it worked and in bios update it felt like it was on the last second because the fans were spinning quite a time, but I got everything flashed and checked 100%. Maybe the flash process has some security mechanism which prevents it from shutdown while doing the flash?
Then I read some threads which all point to gpu related issues, but it’s always blinking num lock etc and WITH beeping. I also checked if something is wrong but the power on beep option works as well as the low battery beep. I don’t have num lock etc lights so i can’t check :/
Everything is working, igpu-dgpu-lcd-cpu-ram. But only for a short moment and it’s to less time to start a windows installation so only Ubuntu live usb.. P L E A S E help me with anything. I tried to reseat/remove/replace all user accessible things like ssd ram etc. I also tried to startup with fan(s) unplugged which instantly started heavy beeping and normal shutdown like in the other posts described. I’m just dissatisfied because I don’t want to send it for RMA and then it’s happening again outside of warranty and I have a brick for much money. I really handled the unit properly all the time..
    Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot, i have a little hope now. I reseated the (same) CPU to check if it fixes the Problem - but still the same :( what was your solution then? rma or did you changed the fan/cpu by yourself?

I think it's time to go back to your reseller. An EC panic means some value it reads is out of range.

I would guess a temperature reading is not getting through from that behaviour.
