@Support.3@XOTIC PC Could you tell us about the panel number of your N141WU? Is it N140HCA panel from Innolux?

Correct, it's not possible to charge the laptop via TB3. But it will support up to 7 external TB3 devices and also eGPUs run with this model chassis. In the BIOS you have the TB3 function settings ( Advanced Settings -> DDI. This switches the DP function on and off through the Type-C port, but when it's on it will disable one of the physical DP ports on the laptop.

I should also note that the TB3 is a factory option - the Type-C port is always there but the TB3 is optional so you need to chek the laptop resellers website if their version has TB3 or just USB TPYE-C with 3.1 connection.

Damn Clevo! Why they can't put normal Thunderbolt 3 with all functions?
If you need to switch between USB and DP modes, it means, what it will work only as DP port, and can't transfer data for USB Hub in monitor?
Very frustrating and complicated! They killing one of the huges selling point for me :(

@Support.3@XOTIC PC Do you mean it is the same as the unit that System76 is offering? They said that they have the IPS display. If you have the same display as System76 then I'll buy from you because of good pricing.

You can't judge about display without exact model number.
IPS panels can be very different, sometimes worse than good TN panel.

Yes, you're absolutely right. Btw, I've contacted AVADirect about their panel and they said they're not sure, as Clevo does not disclose the panel to them. The only way for them to know is to receive the unit, and run a hardware ID scan. Same for the color gamut on these particular models. I think XoticPC are in a similar situation as well.

The reason I know is because we have sample chassis in our test department. But it's not like it is a secret, Clevo will say which panel is in the chassis when asked!
