    Fan Control updated to 2.4.5

    - Updated QT libs
    - Updated signing certificate

There is also a totally new license system to prevent the UUID changes problem, we are now migrating to a server side License check. This also facilitates our work with other resellers where we can generate volume licenses :D

Updater license system will soon be updated just like Fan Control was, that problem will be fixed then.
As for the Audio it´s currently a mess, i will try to get to the bottom of that.
But latest Windows versions are really difficult to get a Audio / SBX mix that works :(

Sure thing, just mail me at code@obsidian-pc.com it´s a lot faster!!

    More Big News:
We would also like to welcome, www.azom.io who is now using our Fan Control / Control Station / Keyboard LED. :D
3 More resellers missing to achieve financial development stability! Also, our reseller prices for volume license are now pornographically low.

Getting an error after updating to the latest version of Fan Control:

Tried to edit Work.ini and force an update and run Fix Dependencies and none worked.

    @John@OBSIDIAN-PC

Edit: ClevoService.exe gives an error saying: Service cannot be started and it is disabled on services.msc and cannot be changed to Automatic because of this error:

Edit2: Reinstalling Fan Control 2.4.5 fixed the issue and rebooting afterwards!

    Thanks @John@OBSIDIAN-PC

@John@OBSIDIAN-PC have you dropped completely work towards controlling P870XX lights at back panel with you software? At this point it is only thing that is holding me back to get fan license and drop clevo stuff completely.

    Hello!
I actually got my hands on a unit, i´m going to test it really soon.

    ---------- NEWS --------------
Our new License API showed some important information, there are TONS of users stealing our software by using all sorts of gimmicks. I was mentally prepared for that, what shocked me the most was finding companies (curious enough they are all from china) who sell their laptops with either our dumped BIOS or with a modified BIOS to unlock our software.

For users manually changing their BIOS to trick our software:
For users duplicating UUIDs and licenses across units:
For resellers selling with our BIOS or modified IDs to fool the software:
-> Well, we are now doing server side verification, so what you are doing won´t last long. Oh and by the way, do you think it´s really a good idea to hack a piece of software capable of writing to your EC chip?

By hacking the software, and not paying developers i can´t put time into this project, as you see, if it wasn't for new resellers jumping in, everything was very silent with little to no updates right? When you steal instead of paying you are killing development...

    Just my two cents.

Hi John! Have a nice day, I had a question about Fan Control, is there any way to display the speed adjustment sliders with percentages as you have in the screenshots on the site, and not with points like now?
    that what i have
    [IMG][IMG]
    that what on site screenshots

Of course, in general, this is not such a big problem, but with the percentages displayed on the sliders, it would be much more convenient to configure Fans :)

I can, but do you really want that?
There is 255 points, if i set that from 0 to 100% you loose resolution and you wont be able to fine tune it as much. 1% can be too much in some cases...

Thank for reply, no i dont want loose resolution :)
But for dont lose it, may be it can be set like 1-1,5-2% or 1-1,3-1,6-2%, just show % of fan speed instead points?
