Most interesting is the TGP table for the new GPUs seen here:
    https://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDI...-in-over-40-notebooks-this-year.391981.0.html

Some absolute witchcraft going on if it's true.

RTX 2080 Max-Q in 80W and 90W variants. If they come anywhere near the full fat RTX2080 that is absolutely mind-blowing given the desktop card TDP is 180-215W.
Even the non MQ RTX2080 is only listed at 150W which is below what we've seen before. Makes me wonder if they're making room for a mobile 2080 Ti?

Also explains why all of the seriously thin machines (Razer Blade, Aero 15, GS65, P96X, Zephyrus) are all listing a 2080 variant.

It's certainly going to matter which machine a chip is in.

Those are some ugly laptops :/

The PB5 reminds me of the Asus K53 :/

How can they keep making such generic looking laptops?

Aesthetics tend to be quite personal and a LOT of people look for machines that are not shouting gamer.

Indeed. I've found that a large majority of the gaming laptop and high end desktop are aged 25-35 and work for a living. Many need something that can straddle the line between a work machine and gaming machine as it's often impractical to have multiple devices.
RGB/Gamer aesthetics are almost always aimed at the younger audience.

More support of some old posts. Looks like word of this got through to another ODM.

There is a lot of excitement for Dellienware's new Area 51m causing large (dollar-wise) pre-orders, and @Ultra Male is leading the way - http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/ordered-an-alienware-area-51m-from-hidevolution.826914/

I don't see how that offers much to the professional market.

You can get two similar machines for the price of one looking at it :p
