    Hello,

This is my first post here. I was wondering whether it is possible to disable Intel ME in 1.07.27 BIOS version of P775TM1-G. When I set the HAP bit and flash with SPI, the system will boot and shutdown shortly afterwards.

Is there any way to prevent this and force Intel ME to stay disabled? Any suggestions/hints would be welcome.

Please rule out other possibilities that might be causing unexpected shutdowns BEFORE messing around with BIOS changes. A compromised cooling system - broken or weak fan, dry thermal paste, loose heatsink, blocked air vents - could well be causing this.

    I have: P771DM-G
With bios version 1.05.04 system bios date 10/05/2015 video bios date 08/10/15

    Can I use the bios in the op for "P750DM (Sager NP9758) / P750DM-G / P770DM (Sager NP9778) / P770DM-G / P751DM / P771DM"
It says P771DM. but not P771DM-G.

    And here it says "BIOS V 1.05.10 for all P7x0DM / P7x1DM / -G models except P775DM"
Does that mean I can safely use this? Just want to double check, seeing how sensitive process this is.

Also, since my bios is 1.05.04. and this is 1.05.10. There is a change log.
But is there a changelog to see what happend in earlier versions? like 0.5, 0.6 etc.?

It seems that running mesetx64.efi from UEFI shell will temporarily disable the Management Engine until next cold boot.
If any of the geeks here could analyze it and integrate its commands into a modded BIOS, one could achieve similar behavior (for instance configured from BIOS setup, or even permanently)

I think its better to ask Prema himself.
Maybe Mr. Fox and Papusan can help

Thanks for the suggestion. Since I cannot send PMs yet, I will have to ask @Prema here.
However, it may require modifications in the EC firmware, in order to emulate FD_OVERRIDE (flash descriptor override) mode at each boot.
Are there any other options to force this mode, apart from the pinmod, in P775TM1? A special jumper or a hidden BIOS option?
