You do know anyone can unlock a BIOS with Hex edits? You also know that prema’s work isn’t trademarked and protected by any kind of laws because it can’t be. It is not a unique process protected by law. This refers only to the BIOS of the computers and not the VBIOS or EC as the vbios modifications and EC modifications are a bit harder to accomplish but still cannot be protected by copyright law. These “ideological differences” you have could be very well flawed because as I’ve stated a BIOS can be unlocked by literally anyone. Prema just posted about this in a forum update. See their thread referring to how long it takes to perform a BIOS unlock. The hardest parts are EC tweaks and VBIOS editing for efficiency and overclocking but simple BIOS unlocks are a piece of cake.

So by that logic, just because you draw on a piece of paper that was not made by you, what ever you "created"/"drew" on it is effectively free to distribute? Specially since anyone can just do the same thing by using a pencil/crayons or whatever, correct?
    Love that logic bud.

Copyright law bud. If the drawer wishes to protect it they can get a patent for it. Otherwise it is by law free to distribute.

Or we can take the witch hunt mentality and play the game of who shot john. As in whenever someone try’s to work on a BIOS we blame and make up stories that this person obviously stole work.

However by my logic (lol) “they simply drew the same thing” but since the drawing isn’t protected you can draw it as many times as anyone wants until it is protected. So since they drew the same thing and it’s not protected we can distribute.

You still don't understand how people figured out it was stolen work.
Pretty much pointless conversing with you at this point.
    Have a great day.

How did they find out :O? Now that would be an interesting piece of evidence to post here :p. Not just internet hearsay from Prema. Facts evidence, now that is some interesting stuff. Anyway you have a good day too :). I do not find it ever pointless to have a conversation.. ;) Show me some evidence though, link me some threads! Anything rather than saying "you do not understand" help me to understand, bud!

Jacob Rosenberg who reverse-engineered and posted the code, did so after being provided with a non-public beta Mod while being under NDA. It was the very reason I stopped making my mods available for just anyone. NBR, Voltground, Win-Raid, MDL and a few others removed those posts after being provided with details. Other places only care for clicks...

Although I can not dispute you giving someone the BIOS how does that prove someone on Techinfernoe used that? Lol, anyway thanks for providing proof of you giving out a public mod. Although I do not think this gives any relevance to those at technifernoe.

Point being those BIOS re-use that specific code with a rather odd obfuscation attempt, which makes it even more obvious as it adds rerouting code-line which does nothing but renaming the re-entry point.
The posters only sentence when publishing them was pointing to this feature, go figure.

It's not just some simple unlocks any more, combine that with the required work to test then it's not free work.

Also as Prema says above I am sure his finger prints are all over it.

Techinferno is providing a simple unlock though? Not an EC mod or the like?
