I know its gonna be way faster than mobile. That's why I couldn't pass it up. I have this 4710hq pushing as hard as it can I feel Like Han Solo when he goes for light speed and the hyper drive is incapacitated. lol! I have that undervolted too. cooling was great in the GT72 just not enough cpu power for the duration. I probably could have waited another year to see what the design for these would be but couldn't pass up one of these for $1500 bucks

any special mods to the case that might help? seem like drilling some holes in the bottom case and adding some mesh for debris would allow some more airflow. Also whats a good laptop cooler for this model? I see the P870 is slightly bigger for the sli portion. I am assuming most people don't use the sli and just get this for the additional fan?

Is it while gaming like BF5? Or only when fully load cpu?

While gaming, I can load it with AVX prime 95 and it drops to about 4.2 all cores at 95C, but the load is so unrealistic it's best to go on the gaming temps Imo

I know that under the 100c but still quite hot. but I guess that's the trade off for such a powerful CPU. Mine is supposed to be already delided and undervolted /OC to 4.8. the 1080 seems to be quite the issue in these p775's. Is it select 1080's or all of them? I imagine that too needs undervolted and OCed to work well and stay cool enough to work. I have a 1070 in my GT72 and undervolted to 0.993 with a OC . Temps steady at 64c on BF5

You can't break the rules of physics. You get a lot more headroom but on a desktop you can just whack ina 240mm AIO.

I'm not too sure about the 1080 (mine has a 2080) and haven't touched the voltages on the GPU yet

I wouldn't be too worried I would expect your rig to perform the same as mine depending on the undervolt and OC applied

I don't mind if Clevo decide to get rid of one of the hdd bays and use that space to fit large heatsink.
