They got on the wrong side of each other in terms of drivers, the package issues causing failures and other issues in the background too. Notice all consoles are AMD? Similar stories there.

Ironically after the big 680m > 7970m due to optimus being better than enduro push in 2012, AMD greatly improved Enduro with Enduro offering better performance than optimus in later years.

Yes the 7970m had a higher failure rate. This was strange because AMD used a much higher quality pcb than Nvidia.

...Apple falling out with NVIDIA due to faulty AMD MXM boards? What? I think I'm missing something here

A co-worker of mine just got the Eluktronics Mech 17 a couple days ago. He got it w/16Gb ram, 512Gb nvme pci ssd and the RTX2070. When we compared it my P670RS-G it"s lighter, a bit thinner. Graphics are great.

That’s cool. Let me know if he got the Nvidia drivers working. Some people are having issues with the 2070 card not being recognized and Control Center issues. Hope he gets a great fire strike score. I want either the Clevo P960 series or the Mech 17 or if Clevo has something else coming down the pipe with full RTX cards I’m game.
