I'm having a weird problem where Chrome is not offering to save passwords. I have Offer to save passwords checked and my Exceptions list for sites is empty. I am going to various vBulletin forums and testing out logins, but Chrome does not ask whether or not I wanna save the password like it used to, and does not save passwords at all. Passwords I saved from before still work, however new ones do not save or ask to be saved. I'm thinking this might be due to a setting not changed from the Options menu. How can I fix this?

Are you in incognito mode? Doesn't seem to offer to save passwords for me in it.

    Navigate to:

    chrome://settings/personal

Is 'offer to save passwords' selected?

reinstalled? synced and locally erased, then resynced your profile? all those kind of cleanup tasks done? if not, you know your mission.. if yes, well.. hmm..

I'm on Chrome 14 ... That's beta for sure, but is this a beta only issue?

    well it might..
it's a) the beta or b) your profile that got messed up (maybe because of the beta). i know i had some issues like this from time to time. i'm on the dev build.

Thanks, I just tried removing Chrome, deleting my profile, and reinstalling Chrome, then cleared all browsing data. Working so far, it's just that some sites that used to ask to save my credentials no longer do

i have a few that don't, too.. but they are some clumsy javascript ui's that can't do a simple postback (twitter is one of those).

but for forii, it normally always works. any page to test?
