I just got my Aspire 2002Lci 3 weeks ago and I am very happy with it. It is suggested in the manual that if you use AC power constantly, that you remove your battery after it fully charges. I think its a good idea. I would still properly condition the battery first (fully charge and discharge the battery 3-4 times completely first before really using the notebook). Its not great to allow the battery to constantly top up - however, the Aspire doesn't start charging the battery until it has dropped below 95% - which helps. I would use the battery until its completely discharged (10%) once or twice a month and recharge it to keep it conditioned.

My only gripe is that when I have the battery out, there is a big hole underneath my laptop - I wish there was a dummy panel that would close up the battery compartment when empty.
