Already have removed it completely. It would catch on stuff so I colored it gone.

I am going to see what Panasonic Canada sends me. Should be here before next weekend. I will baby the D1 by using a laptop case for transport until I get the cover or mod one of the mods suggested by you and Shawn.

Going to the garage, at my brothers place. Clean up the place a bit, then color me the same color as I did the D1 port cover.....gone. These digital crayons are amazing. :D

I have just removed the cover off my D1 and acually drilled a hole into it. Now it’s just a matter of how long I will have this

I tried on a 30 MK1 for the headphone jack and it kinda sucks for me but I don’t really care about it

I’m tried. I’m now throwing myself on a bed and shoving my head into my pillow

Part number might help but the problem is Panasonic is always changing the part number. Every time I ordered covers for the CF-19 or 30 my invoice always showed the old part # but then showed the updated part #. Never could figure out why they would do this. She would always ask me what the full model # was .

I got the cover. Have been working steady enough that I couldn't get to the couriers until today.

Panasonic Canada sent me the complete right side port cover assembly, serial, network, blank and power in, complete with metal retaining strip and screws.

There is/are not part numbers on the box the assembly was in or on the invoice. Quoting the invoice in the 'Remarks' area "Only I/O cover shipped as good will gesture. Actual Modem CFD1DVA06F3 (their sample unit model number). Model CF-D1 not sold in Canada." Quote from the 'Details Of Service' area "Parts shipped: DC jack cover from our sample unit."

Hard to beat that, even if I would have had to pay shipping.

Worked from 7:30am yesterday until 5:00am this morning. Going to have a nap so that I don't fell like a 60yr old. When I wake I should be back to reality, because I feel like I am dreaming. :D

Been testing different OSes on my D1 yesterday and today.
    OSes that work:
    Windows 10 (obviously).
Cloudready - ChromiumOS by Neverware (current version)
    Androidx86 (version 9)
Debian (all versions currently available) and derivatives.
    RuggedOS (currently under development/testing)

The big thing I have noticed is touch screen calibration requires alot of work.

    Check the BIOS
    Tablet or Touchscreen.
I forget which one Linux prefers. I "think" it is touchscreen.

    I was correct.

Already set that thanks to reading this entire discussion to find out why it wasn't working at all in Linux yet did for all other OSes.

I can confirm that the 8 gig. max is not true. I just installed 2 8 gig sticks and it does show them.
