    Hello all,

The CF-53 Mk1 could have 2 LAN ports. Mine only has one.
Is it possible to easily add the second LAN port? Is it simply a small piece of board, can simply be added and wired? Or is a whole new mainboard required?

How would you use them? What is the purpose of needing two ports?

I don't see how you could other than jumpering to the other port.

    Well, why not?

The CF-53 was once configurable having two ports. If it was optional once it might be modded easily afterwards, I do not know.
    Thats why I ask.

    Factory only option.
That could very possibly mean an entirely different motherboard.

Sorry... I had to ask. I think that is how we all started out here by asking the same question! ;)

If I was going to do it,
I would get a usb to ethernet adapter.
    remove it from plastic housing
Use VHB tape and attach it in the area where the DVD drive normally goes.
Use dremel to cut hole in old DVD faceplate.
