    The CF-51LL is T2300 1.6 Duo
    The CF-51 is a T2500 2.0 Duo

    1. I just used Artic Silver 5 paste
    2. no need for bios update
    3. no problems, its the way I did it.

I just new you would do it. :D
I think she will be very happy with it.

Tried the T7500 upgrade with crucial 2GB CT25664AC800 ram on 3 cf-51 core duo machines a cf-51QG5EEBM, cf-51RC4KFBM, cf-51QG4DEBM. both bios V3.00 and V3.50 the Q machines with 256mb video ram and the R machine video ram N/A. None would boot to bios. Was hoping for a Christmas Surprise but got nutin' for Christmas here. Any way it seems limitation here is chipset these being 945 GM or PM. the T7500 worked on my gutway which was a 667FSB to a 800FSB, difference was it had 965 GME chipset. Must be the answer here. Merry Chrisatmas to All!.....Driller

    OK, I bit! My Mk3 is now a Core 2 Duo T7200:D

I installed Speedfan and it reports the CPU is running right at 130 degrees. So I am watching that.... ;)

I have been running my T7200 + T7600 for about 3 weeks and no problems here at all. I am no gamer so it's just surfing + MS Word and never had a problem with heat. I watched it the first week I put it in but have not checked it since. It runs great, it has not crashed once since I put them in....sweet :D
    Temperature 45-55 c (T7600)

Missed this little dragon snark. Actually, when you get to be her age there's a good chance the processor is gone. I believe the surgeon said something like "don't worry, I'm only taking out the nursery, I'll leave the playpen":D

Hard drive still hard? CHECK. Floppy still floopy? CHECK. Processor not going thermal? DOUBLE-CHECK...

Is this measuring in degrees fareinheit or degrees celcius? The 130 would be close to what Toughasnails is getting on his and is close to what most of the cf-51 core2duos that I fixed up, if its in F degrees. 45-55 degrees celcius. The fan in these on some of the laptops seems quieter, the newer looking ones and my test bed laptop for the cf-51 has over 10K hours and was considerably dusty coming out of Arizona from buybest15 I think. there isn't much you can do to improve the cooling other than new heat pad with the AS5 paste and cleaning out the fan and its pathways with compressed air. Ain't quite like the cf-29 here.............Driller

just read something about speedfan4.4.2 that would in advanced user to allow you to adjust the FSB up to 800?, are my eyes decieving me? could this be a way to get the old T7500 to work on a cf-51? chasing rabbits again here....
