I'm curious as to why the processor speed in the CF-31 Mark 5 is so much slower than that in previous marks.
For instance, a Cf-3116068CM (Mk 5) with a I5-5300U processor is spec'd at 2.3 GHZ. Even an ancient Mk 1 is 2.40 GHZ and subsequent Marks increase from that to 2.9 GHZ in the Mk 4. Then the Mk5 comes along and it drops way back to 2.3 GHZ. Curious minds want to know??

Clock speed isn't everything you know, Ivy bridge to Broadwell is around a 10-20% jump in performance.

Thought that might be the case -- but wanted to hear it from one of the "experts" here. Thanks.
