    I have a CF19 mk3 with windows 10 pro installed.

The issue is that it won't read an SD card. I've checked the SD card is enabled in BIOS and tried several SD cards. All that happens is a brief flash of the LED next to the SD card slot but nothing further. I've tried reinstalling the SD card drivers (windows 8 is the best I can find).

It's not a hardware issue as if I swap the HDD for one with Win 7 pro on it the cards are read fine.
    Toughbook is CF-19KHR88PE.

I did a search but couldn't find a specific fix.

    Any advice please?

Thanks for the help and the links. Downloaded and installed but still doesn't do anything when the card is inserted.

I noticed that the SD works fine on my CF19 mk7 with win 10 so I cloned that disk to the mk3 one. Still doesn't see the SD. Its there in device manager etc

    Just trying windows updates now.

I'm beginning to think that the SD card in a mk3 won't work with win 10...

OK. So I've tried Ricoh drivers from Sony, HP, Dell, Lenovo and Ricoh direct. They all go through the full install procedure but still the card is not read. Tried reinstalling drivers via Device manager etc.

If I put the Win 10 HDD in a mk7 it reads the SD card,
Same Win 10 HDD back in the mk3 won't read the SD card.
If I put a Win 7 HDD in the mk3 it will read the SD card.

What am I looking for in Device Manager.?
I see SD host adapters (tried removing, reinstalling and updating this driver).
Nothing relating to SD card under Disk drive or USB controllers.

Nothing other than the HDD showing in Disk management.

Try to update chipset drivers on mk3.

I don't have a CF-19, so this may be stupid suggestion, but did you try the way other older ToughBook SD drivers install? Namely:

    Make sda folder (in C:\Windows\System32)
Extract Vista drivers from Panasonic download page
    Copy "C:\util2\drivers\sd\sdpabus.dll" to
    "C:\Windows\System32\sda

Thanks Barrmaley and theoak2. I'll try your suggestions,

Is it called "Chipset Driver" in the downloads page?

"OS Inf file driver" is what chipset driver is labeled on download page.
