I just got a cf-19 mk4 (cf-19RDT5A1M). I've already discovered that its seems apparent that the drivers for Windows 7 MUST be installed IN ORDER from start to end. All 43 (or more) of them. I think this explains to me why ready to go units are so expensive.

My question is: Posts around 2014 indicated that installing windows 10 was a "bad idea" on mk4 and up CF-19's due to the fact that drivers must be installed in order. Has anyone recently upgraded a cf-19 (preferably same model) to Windows 10 from 7?

Any issues? Do all of the features work properly after the upgrade? Must all of the drivers be properly installed prior to upgrading?

Everything is much easier in 2020.
Make clean install of Win10 Pro, use your Win7 Pro key, download and install one-click drivers bundle. Avoid upgrading Win7 to Win10 or you may have problems with Intel DPTF drivers and more cluttered OS.

Thank you! The Panasonic page shows a one click bundle for the mk5, but not the mk4.

Thanks. What about the wall I hit? I can't use any one click drivers without getting past this.

After I saw your post about the drivers, since windows 10 for mk4 drivers weren't on that page, I downloaded the 64 bit win 7 drivers. When I tried to reinstall win 7, I got the same error as the windows 10 error.

Installing on a fresh drive and I seem to have gotten windows 7 to install. Might be something with the way I formatted the drive.

Ok wtf. I ran the exe file, it appeared to have extracted and install a bunch of stuff to who knows where. As soon as it was done, nothing else happened. No on screen instructions. Nothing.

This is beyond ridiculous. Even after restarting, no drivers were installed. What did it do? Install a virus?
