Anyone here upgraded a Mk5 CF-19 wireless card to wireless-ac? I went thru hell trying to find a dual band wireless-n card that worked in my CF-19 Mk2 (the solution is in the CF-19 FAQ), and I don't want to go thru that with my new-to-me Mk5. Most cards wouldn't even let my Mk2 turn on, much less boot.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I have 802.11ac my CF19 mk6. Also on my CF31 mk3. And my CF52 mk4.
Deal is that you lose bluetooth unless you do some hardware magic.

No problem at all. MK5 has a separate bluetooth card, so you will not loose any functionality.

    BaRRmaley and Shawn,

Thanks! What ac cards did you use? Nice to know I won't go thru what I did on the Mk2!

First of all, you must make sure wifi is enabled and working in the BIOS BEFORE you remove the original card.

I might have an extra Intel 7260 at home.

Thanks. I might have a spare around here somewhere I used in another laptop.

Thanks to all. Bought an Intel 7260 and installed it today. Had to uninstall the old driver before the new Intel software for it would install, but it fired up without a problem. Dramatically different than what I went thru on my Mk2.
