Yes ! That's why I'm not considerong buying a new screen but a new computer !

    Even, shamefully, a Dell 7404.

The price of a new touchscreen is very close to a used 19. At one time they were selling for $20- $30.00 shipped from overseas. Could not find any that cheap now. That is why I have 5 CF-19 ( MK-1 & 2) in my shop now just collecting dust.:mad:

I've bought 2 tscreens from China seller this Spring. Packaging was very good, but both tscreens inside were broken. Seller has resent, and again both were broken on arrival. I think he ships them in this condition, beware.

    That's dirt cheap...

I don't think I'm gonna buy cheap chinese screen BTW.

I think I will roll back to Mint. W7 do not want me to install misc drivers and I surely can't update the bios.
I didn't try to extract the Bios file from the . exe and force it with awdflash. Sounds too risky to me.

Unless you know what you are doing when it comes to that. At least every thing else is working good. Hate to see you brick it but they do make a good paper weight :)

I'm used to do that, back in the days when overclocking was not that easy ! But it works fine with XP or Mint. Even without the TS.
So it's not worth the risk.

Hey I remember them days. I use to build all my desktops. Back then I was all "AMD" :D. Never kill one which was amazing. I was using intel but killed way to many so switched to AMD. Good old days for sure.

Same story here. I will gladly be back to AMD in a couple of months ;)

I tried it but found it was a little bit slower than W7.
