I've put in refund request for my GS65 but I'm wavering on whether or not to go through with it. I'm hoping you guys can help me decide.

Let me start off by saying, I love the machine and almost everything about it. The keyboard is great. The 144hz screen is great (not as dim to me as everyone complains about) and it's a great multimedia and gaming machine. But it bothers me that it's a GTX 1060 and last-gen CPU in a $1350 chassis. And I'm a bit concerned about the build quality. For a premium price, I feel I'm neither getting the latest tech (RTX, latest CPU) nor something that I can trust will last me for the next three years (one of the keys on the keyboard already appears more loose than the rest).

I guess I'd be more comfortable with something cheaper, or something slightly more expensive if it came with better QC/build quality or a better warranty. Does anyone else feel this way? Does anyone feel the GS65/75 is a perfect compromise? It's a desktop replacement so mobility is only a convenience feature for me.

That sounds interesting (both the helios and newer generation stealths). I read the review on notebookcheck and they didn't mention any difference in build quality between the chassis.

I'd love a 2070 GS75 variant personally, but I see prices for those all over the place ranging from 2.5-3k.

The 1660ti is quite powerful and honestly, I wish there were 2080s or something without RTX for a slightly cheaper price.
