I really need a new car

I'd like something made in the 2000s, preferably something that probably has 75k miles or less (but you won't know which specific cars are out there I"m just saying), something I could get for like 6-8 thousand $$.
I'd like something sport but anything luxurious would be nice too, something dependable.

What kind of cars should I look for?

is 8K the highest you can go?

If so i'd suggest a Honda Civic last gen(2001-2005). They are quite reliable and still look pretty good. You couls also get a used 325i but the maintainence on those things are gonna be crazy though.

Hm.........the Nissan Sentra least gen is pretty decent my friends has a 2005 and his is still running pretty strong. Good luck

In what area of the country? Geography can make a huge difference in the price of used cars. Also, get a copy of the consumer reports car report; that will generally provide ratings by make and model both as to level of quality when new, but also over a range of years as the model ages, which is quite useful in seeing if a car becomes a repair nightmare or not.

For example, if you want a bit of sport/luxury, and are willing to go a little earlier than 2000 (1998 to be precise), there's at least one BMW 328 iS with 74,821 miles in the New York/Long Island area being sold by a used car dealer who's asking $6,990 for it. The ad on cars.com is here.

N.B., I just pulled this quickly as a for-example, not as something I'm really sure you should be in, so please don't think I'm trying to push this particular car on you.:D
