Can you burn an ISO of Vista

    I know Vista 64 bit comes pre installed on my new Y430 but if I format will I be able to somehow find the vista install files and burn them to a dvd?

    yes you can burn a restore ISO of vista, i think the option is in thinkvantage. (sorry dont have my t400 yet.)

    You can create restore DVDs that includes Vista. You can't however create an ISO of only Vista install files.

    If you want to do a clean installation, you'll have to locate a retail or upgrade DVD and work from there.

    A clean installation can be made as copies of the disk and an install by the disk compression utility.

    or you can get a Vista DVD for $10 and use the key on your TP...
