Can I run a 75 Hz monitor with this laptop in dual extended mode?

    Hi,

I have a HP Dv6t-7000 Quad edition laptop running Win 7 with a 2nd monitor in extended mode. The GPU is Nvidia GT 650m in optimus with Intel HD 4000. So for a better part of 10 years, I have been running with a Samsung SyncMaster 2494HM and it ran beautifully at 1920x1080x60Hz. I am actually just using the VGA port.

My monitor is getting old and cranky so I'm thinking of replacing it. I like this:
    https://www.costco.com/acer-24"-class-fhd-ips-monitor.product.100674589.html

It seems like a good replacement, same size at 24" and most of everything is the same. The only thing is this is 75 Hz instead of 60 Hz. I'm wondering if I could still use this monitor and run it at 60 Hz in the setup I provided above with this laptop and the Intel HD + Nvidia GT 650m combo?

    Thanks!

    Jeff
