can i download a demo of any of the COD games? if yes, then how do i do so? Game doesn't have any open PS3s/Xbox 360's to try things out.

are these reviews objective - Amazon.co.uk: Customer Reviews: Call of Duty: Black Ops (PS3) ?

and is that price good for the game?

I would say that video game reviews on amazon are fairly biased. You mostly get obsessed fan boys or halo fan boys that down vote anything that isn't halo.

Check sites like gamespot and IGN for reviews. Also I can tell you from experience if you are looking to buy this for its single player only, wait for sure. If you are looking to get into the multiplayer the 30 Pounds (thats what the UK uses right?) doesn't seem to bad. Though I don't know the conversion rate from USD to Pounds off the top of my head.

I do not get very much lag on the 360 and I don't notice many bugs. This may be different on other consoles though.

Don't know what is the relative market price for games in the UK, but that is about $10USD cheaper than what the game normally goes for in the US. I still wouldn't get it for $50USD, but that is just me.

seems the common answer. also i think this game has been produced by some bad developers? i think i'll buy the next one when it comes out later this year (cod: mw3). till then i'll just practice this sodding controller on fps games. how do you even do that? i'll be well behind on the online points (?) as well if i start cod: bo now.
