    Hi guys,

I am trying to buy a cable to transfer data out of an old HDD (IBM Deskstar IC35L040AVVN07-0 ATA/IDE 7200RPM) to my computer via USB port. But I have no idea exactly what sort of cable I should get. I wonder if anyone here knows? Any help would be much appreciated!

Your best beat would be ebay for cables like that. Most likely it would come from China so, about 2 weeks shipping time.

Best thing to do would be to buy an external enclosure as it would come with the necessary interface, cables, and power supply to get the drive operational. This appears to be a new old stock device that would do what you need. It's only about $10 and is located in the US.
