I am currently getting a new laptop. Most of the time I use it for Adobe and will most likely start some video editing.
Since I desing alot , a screen with 100% sRGB is important.

Right now I've been using a laptop with an old HD 4000 and i5-3317u and to be honest it's not that bad. Now and then I get out of memory warning.

So far I've looked at :

    Hp envy 13
    HP spectre x360
    HP pavilion gaming lap

The envy and the spectre are basicly the same both 6200u HD520 and HD screen good sRGB , but the pavilion does pack a gtx 950m and a 6300HQ, the screen sucks though.

So its the pavilion with an external monitor vs the other two.

Will the performance of the HQ and GT 950m really make a huge difference to forget looks and get the ugly pavilion?

    Thanks!

I am quite limited to a select few laptops, here where I live prices jump and laptops that are cheaper are often still very expensive here. For example Ive read the HP gaming one is expensive since you can find better specs with a similar price, but all of those are like 40% more .

So what do I have within my reach?

    TOSHIBA L45W-C4301K
    Toshiba 15.6" L55W-C5202S
    Laptop 15.6" Lenovo Y50-70

    and the ones listed above.

For video editing I would definitely recommend you to chose the pavilion form the three you listed because the CPU it is a 4 core vs. a dual core on the other two options and having discrete GPU will make a big difference. So I would sacrifice the screen for the performance. But on the other hand you can also use a good quality IPS external monitor when you are working on color sensitive footage.

And also it is worth looking into other laptop brands too like Sager or MSI which they have good laptops for your need.
