Most of the time it's between members in the know. However the warnings have been spread far and wide. Assuming you can use nvflash without due process is the problem here.

I see you are a Razer Blade owner - are you aware of a BIOS chip present in your unit?

Cant you just use a modded version to flashback? Also there is a vbios that is flashable on the board directly (I used it on my RB 15), but as other users have said you will need a hardware programmer. You will also need a 1.8 Volt adapter and soc clip for your hardware programmer. I can walk you through what to do when you have one.

I havent checked my motherboard. But I checked a listing of a Blade 15 motherboard on Ebay and I couldnt spot it easily. Maybe on the back side. But not 100% sure.

The most hopeful post I've read so far!

For some reason no, the modded NVFlash let me put a board AND pci-e device ID mismatched VBIOS on the first time but won't let me bypass it to put my backup back in - maybe I'm being stupid here but I can't get my head round it myself. I can show you some screenshots of how far I got with it with the help of another guy on another forum. He edited some hex to match up the device IDs but then it spat out an error about Bios 2.0 certs and when I used the certs bypassed NVFlash it told me "you need a newer version." o_O

I'm happy to buy the chip etc if you would do the solid in walking me through? You say you've done this successfully before on the RB15?

EDIT: Is this the type of kit I'm looking for? https://www.amazon.co.uk/KeeYees-SO...ywords=ch341a&qid=1568199161&s=gateway&sr=8-3

UPDATE: I flashed an Alienware VBIOS on the offchance it would do something and suddenly my card appeared in Device Manager as a 1070 Max Q and not "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" - I also noticed it's now showing as 1BA1!? Long story short, reflash my 1BA1 original backup and we're back to stock. :)

Perfect! I took some pictures of my motherboard of where the vbios was located for you for when you got the hardware programmer but looks like you won’t need it :).
