    Over 3x the score of a 780m lol

    I need to upgrade when I get the chance.

    The zotac card is the standard form factor right? iirc it is but my memory is a bit fuzzy on that.

    Yes, it is the standard form factor one. it pops right in. no mods except for some small heatsink stuff.

    I having been toying with another idea in my head.

    Here is the scenario. Keep in mind I house a lot of Anime on my machine. I used to have around 15TB of the stuff back when I was using desktops as my main rigs. I have 5 TB now but 2TB is for games and the other 2TB is for Anime the remaining 1TB for various movies and music. I am already capping my limits lol.

    So with that in mind Ill begin.

    Some of you may know that I desire to get a 5TB HDD 15mm drive to install in the optical bay. I want to enhance that drive. It looks like the largest SSD caching drive with mSATA is 128GB. I may look into m.2 SATA SSD's simply because they are slightly thinner iirc but they are longer typically. I would plug in this hypothetical cache ssd to the mpcie where the WLAN card is installed. The only issue that remains is powering the ssd cache drive.

    The other issue seems to be finding a SATA to mSATA cable adapter.

    I would then lose wireless capability, yes. I plan to work around this by stripping a USB router of its housing and connect to the Ethernet and USB port internally by removing a portion of the shielding around the port. This should grant me wireless capability once more.

    @woodzstack

    Does the Eurocom GTX 1070 require optimus like it claims on their website?

    Sweet score! Especially your physics, on my 4910mq I can barely get x41 multiplier on all cores at 1.165v

    Yes, the new GREEN EURO 1070 does infact require Optimus in many systems, most notably Alienware's so far.

    Well his is the Extreme version while the 4910MQ is not extreme, is supposed to not be unlocked either (meanwhile I never understood that because all the 4910MQ's I've tested can run any multiplier I've tried setting)

    But yeah very good score, like keeps Mobile Haswell competitive honestly.

    Damn it, always like to have a backup option but it's looking like zbox will be my only one. Hopefully it's in stocks when ever I am ready...

    Why not just invest heavily in a 4tb ssd? I thought about it but i am too cheap. The 5tb will only be viable until technology advancements brings better prices and form factor. You would have modded your 17r1 for not much benefit.
