I have an SZ3 Premium. I remember turning the Bluetooth off a while ago in an effort to save battery power. Now I need to use it but I can't figure out how to turn it on! I go to Bluetooth in the Start menu, but when I try to make a new connection it says 'Bluetooth not ready'. I assume that's because it's not on. What do I do?

Try to enable it using device manager.

OK, that's weird. It's not in Device Manager. I've looked at every item and I cannot see Bluetooth mentioned anywhere. Does it go by a different name?

This is what mine looks like. And are you sure you have bluetooth installed? Did you ever formatted?

That's definitely not on mine! And I have not formatted or anything. Only had the laptop a couple of months!! Is there a driver somewhere I can download and install to get it up and running again?

    :(

It should be at Sony's support website.

Have you tried Vaio Central? There you have Wireless Switch Settings under the Network Connections subsection where you could turn on/off both wifi and bluetooth.

Do have you switched wireless on "on" it's next to the power button.

Wireless switch is on. That's working ok.

It is a Sony software with which you can control various part of your computer, including Bluetooth. Go to Start/Programs, you should see it there.
