Yes, unhealthy food only exists within the borders of the United States of America.

Just a gimmick. Not even for a niche market or anything, just plain attention grabbing for the OMG value. People want food with integrity. The other menu items they're rolling out could be interesting:

The rest of Burger King's summer menu includes:
-- Memphis Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich.
-- Carolina BBQ Whopper or Chicken Sandwich.
-- Texas BBQ Whopper or Chicken Sandwich.
    -- Sweet potato fries.
    -- Frozen Lemonade.

Their new slogan is 'Taste is King' no longer 'Have It Your Way'. The parent company is going public this month.

Exactly. It was the same way with the KFC Double Down. People try it once for the novelty value and it gets everyone talking.

I will order exactly one of these, eat it, potentially feel ill, and then never look at them again. For science.

I hate fake BBQ. Always so far off the mark that it comes down to being only a name and nothing taste wise resembles the actual style of BBQ.

ok, i was expecting little bits of crunchy bacon sprinkles... but a long slab of bacon will get soggy and greasy...

bacon is actually an interesting balance to sweets... i've been converted ever since i've tried bacon and chocolate...

if the bacon bits are crisp... it may be interesting... but not sure with ice cream... bacon + caramel, bacon + fudge... works

but i don't see myself buying this... i may nuke up some bacon to taste at home though...

Urban BBQ is great if you've ever been there. There's one in Olney, MD probably the closest one to you.

This is disgusting. I would surely vomit after a single bite of that.

Great ...more fatty foods - as if the American obesity rate wasn't high enough.

But we want the freedom to be obese. We don't want to pay for health insurance if we don't want to, but expect doctors and hospitals to treat us if we cannot afford to pay them.

A surprising comment from you. Sarcasm or not?

Last I heard Burger King had been struggling for years, so it's no surprise that they'd have to come up with something to set themselves apart from the rest and get people to come in. At face value a bacon sundae sounds gross (well it is gross as far as I'm concerned), but it will make people want to come in and try it if nothing but just morbid curiousity.
If they really want to set themselves apart, they should take after Turkey. In Turkey when I was there, McDonalds, Burger King and the like all did home delivery. It was quite a sight to see all these little motorscooters driving around town with BK and McDonalds logos on them. :D

Wasn't being sarcastic. Bacon and dairy are my favorite. Unfortunately I just started a strict 6 month meat and dairy free diet.

In the UAE they have pizza with hamburgers on the crust. In England they have hot dog stuffed crust. Where are the platitudes about obesity rates in the UK? Stop being so dramatic.
