    Hi all

I've just discovered that I can't password protect my M.2 NVME SSD in my Dell Precision 7740 using BIOS as I'm used to being able to do with my SATA drives in my old laptop.

I'm using Bitlocker to encrypt it - how secure is this? I'm not bothered about making it secure against professional hackers or government agencies or anything, I just want to make sure that if someone steals my laptop they can't just put the drive in another computer and see all the files.

    Many thanks

@jack574 Bitlocker is as secure as you set it up. I personally use default settings and it unlocks when Windows is unlocked via fingerprint authentication. You can have it unlock before OS via password if you prefer it that way.
