Do any of you have a clue or suggestion as to how to recover from corrupted BIOS on a AMD-based HP laptop? I have read extensively and it seems that Intel-based is assumed in all their recovery methods. Supposedly the first option to try in case of a big problem is the 2-key invocation to grab a hidden copy of the BIOS and force it to reprogram. Pressing the Windows-Key +B or +V - that has no effect on this system. The next and last [short of MB surgery] option is to create a recovery USB stick that will boot the system regardless of BIOS state [how?] but all the utilities I see are again Intel-assumed.

    Any ideas?
