    Welcome to the site! :D

Since you said that you uninstalled the Network Manager, I imagine that you bought your m18x with the Bigfoot Killer Wireless-N 1103 wireless card.

You will be able to download the drivers from Dell here: Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States]
Or you can download the drivers direct from Bigfoot's website (newer): Support

DON'T download the ones from Dell. They're very old and cause problems with iTunes and other programs that are fixed in the newest version from Bigfoot

I made the mistake of downloading the old one from Dell and I got a blue screen error on the M18. So I downloaded the one from BigFoot onto a thumb frive. however when I proceeded to uninstall the older version in safe mode (with network) I got an error
Tomorow I will call 1-800-ALIENWARE but surely need your advice as well.
I have also attached a snapshot of my Network Adapters listed in the Device Manager. The file that I have downloaded (to be installed) is named:

    Killer1102-1103Setup_6_1_0_219_win7_64bit

IS RESTORING THE ENTIRE SYSTEM TO FACTORY DEFAULT IN THE CARDS HERE>?

Your help (collectively) has been a blessing

    Ugghhh...I'm at a loss :(

Cards arrived a few days ago, finally had a chance to install one today in my m17x r3, install was no problem, however...

I can't stop beating my head against the wall to solve an issue.
I've tried both version of the Dell drivers and the latest version of the Bigfoot driver for the 1103 for Win7.

The card connects to my router just fine, gets an IP, I can ping, tracert and perform an nslookup just fine...BUT, I cannot surf in either Firefox (normal and add-ons disabled) or IE 9.

I have tried all 3 driver versions and both 2.4g and 5g on my Netgear WNDR3700 router.

I double checked my antenna connections (white #1, black #3, grey #2) on the mini-card but I still can't resolve the issue.

Anyone else with a similar issue??
    Help :(

    Oh and Merry Xmas everyone!!

Did you remove Intel wifi drivers before installing the killer?

I've got the exact same problem with my bigfoot 1103 and the same router.
But it worked with 2,4 Ghz Network when set to 54Mbs.
When set to 5 Ghz or 130 Mbs or 300 Mbs it does'nt work.
Really sad I have to say, since the WNDR3700 is no cheap router.

In that case you should contact Bigfoot Networks and see if they can offer a solution.

I have a NETGEAR WNDR3400 router and it is a little buggy. It's also not a cheap router. Hindsight is always 20/20. I never had any issues using Linksys routers and should have stuck with them when moving up to wireless-N technology.

I have the Intel Ultimate-N 6300 wifi card. What (if any) performance advantages does the Killer 1103 offer over the Ultimate-N 6300?
