On a side note, it will be interesting to see if core counts keep increasing or if it will settle down for a bit.

Technically, unless we see die shrinks, the core count might not go up purely because of TDP concerns imho.

The GT76 configurations just drive me crazy. I am not sure if it is because they are phasing the original models out with the new 240hz models. I did find the DT-091 and DT-090 on excaliburpc this morning for $2999 and $3499 respectively. I am not sure if that is MSRP but those two configurations make the most sense to me. It seems to be inline with what you would pay for a similar spec Area 51m.

Woah, 240hz panels in a laptop? That sounds pretty neat, but even with a 2080 wouldn't you be fighting to get the frames to match the refresh?

They're good for esports titles imho. 144Hz or 165Hz is the sweet spot.

    Those cheap GT76 models are 9700K 8c/8t / 2070's and 9700K/2080's as well, so not the same as the 2080 / 8950HK 6c/12t GT75.

    The GT76 2080 / 9900K / new models at that link are selling for $4000-$4600, or about $1000 more than the GT75 8950HK 6c/12t 2080:
