    Hello there!

after a long search for a nice 17" laptop with good power for both casual gaming and 3d-work/architecture, with a decent battery,a discreet design and slim form factor, I've found a new model that fills almost all my needs:

    VYPER 17,3" from PCspecialist = Eluktronics MAX-17

    17,3" 144Hz FHD Panel (1920 x 1080), 72% NTSC
    Intel® Core™ i7 8-Core Processor 10875H
    16 GB
    Corsair 2400 MHz SODIMM DDR4 (2 x 8 GB)
    NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2070 Max-P – 8,0 GB GDDR6-Video-RAM
    512GB M.2 SSD -ADATA SX6000 Pro PCIe M.2 2280 (2100 MB/R, 1500 MB/W)
    GIGABIT-LAN & WIRELESS INTEL® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (2,4 Gbps) + BT 5.0
    Thunderbolt 3, 3x USB 3.1, HDMI, 3-in-1 SD
    RGB Backlit Keyboard
    Battery 91 Wh

    Magnesium Alloy Chassis
    391,4 mm x 260,8 mm x 20 mm
    (inc. battery)

    1780€ = 1945$
(I will probably upgrade the 512GB to 1TB SSD for 60€ more; and the RTX 2070 SUPER costs 150€ more, but not sure about this one)

Considering that the European prices are usually higher than in the USA, what do you think about this model? early youtube reviews shows that the equivalent MAX-17 keeps good temps under gaming/stress, but we'll see if it's the same for the i7-10875H.

The other models I was considering are:

    - Lenovo Legion Y740 = costs around 1800€ too, but still with 9750H and with 2070 Max-Q, 76Wh poorly optimized battery and it's bigger (412,6mm x 304,9mm x 23mm) and heavier (2.8kg). It offers good temps and has G-Sync. Will be updated with the 10th gen i7 in May - probably with higher prices.

    - Gigabyte Aero 17 = similar version would be XA or XB (not released yet) = costs 2300€ still with 9750H, and also 2070 Max-Q and heavier (2.5kg); but it also offers a good battery (96Wh) and a nice screen (X-Rite Pantone certified). Nice alternative but for 500-600€ more.

    - Eluktronics MECH-17 or PCSpecialist Recoil III is a very good alternative, but I dont like the mechanical keyboard.

    - MSI GS75, P75 and other models are usually more expensive than the Aero 17; and the Acer Predator Triton is too gamer-style, so I won't consider them. The just released MSI Creator 17 looks good, but will be probably too expensive.

So do you know any other 17" nice laptop with similar specs for that price? maybe a model with Ryzen 9/7 4800H? (if they finally arrive..)

    Many thanks!
