Well, if I have the opportunity to send it back for a refund (even at a loss), I'd do it. Sure, all my problems are fixed NOW, but how long will that last?

And even if it does work perfectly for the next 2-3 years, I really don't want to reward a company that has to "repair" my laptop 5 times and hold onto it for 3 months after I owned it for only 6 weeks.

Sure, it works great now. I'm happy it does. I'm VERY pleased with Gary helping us fix the problems. But I'm not going pleased that ASUS finally fixed the laptop that should have been working from day 1.

    I found this page.
G73 Series Driver and Application Reference
Anyone tried "211 Beta 4 for Keyboard Lag / Touchpad 01/08/11 [JH]"?
Is it working? any side effect??

I'm not sure whether I should go ahead and refresh my G73Jh from the origianl BIOS 211 to solve the issue.

Just a quick update. The BIOS 206 makes the touchpad issue quite a bit better.

Since a downgrade policy seems to work, I also downgraded my Synaptics driver to version 14 (downloaded from ASUS G73 official page and applied via Device Manager => Update Driver not via running setup). It looks good now.

If you didn't have keyboard issues too, you might want to try the two AT YOUR COMPLETE OWN RISK WHATEVER MAY HAPPEN.

I must remind you my first time trying to flash 206 my motherboard stopped detecting my SSD then stopped powering at all, but when sent to ASUS they said it was motherboard and SSD issues not BIOS issues and replaced both without charging me.

Replaced SSD? None of the laptops shipped with a SSD.

    I got it from
Logical Blue One - ASUS G73JH-FHD-TZ155V

It's g73jh-fhd-tz155v. Was configurable to have an SSD via the seller. Not quite sure if fact it was the seller or ASUS who replaced the SSD (I think it was ASUS but the warranty for it was different than the rest of the laptop as it had to go to ASUS through the seller).

I'm sure though it was ASUS that replaced the previous motherboard.

Not yet! It is going to take a few days for everyone to get back up and running after CES.

CES has slowed everything down for the last 10 days or so , Now we can get back to working on the issues at hand.
