That fix(hard press of the right touchpad button) is what has usually worked for me.
I don't think Gary intends on addressing the touchpad specifically because it's hardware related. If he was he probably would have done it by now.

I can't get mine to work correctly at all. It has completely flaked out. I touch it and the cursor jumps two inches to the right. I've tried bios 211 and 209. I've tried removing and reinstalling Synaptics 15.0.11 and 151.9.

I'm stuck in one of those endless driver remove/add loops again and can't figure out what I did last time that finally worked. <sigh>

EDIT: I turned off pinch zoom and chiral motion and it seems to behave a little better now.

The hard press is usually because I am mad at the time. I think just a normal press is all that is needed.

The more features you have enabled, the worse it'll behave. Tap-to-click seems to completely break mine.

It was working perfectly for 3days, then it started going crazy again.

I turn off all of the 2 finger scrolling and leave the Chiral scrolling on. I also turn off the horizontal scrolling and all of the touch zones.

Its kinda obvious that the Engineers at ASUS doesn't test this for more than 24hours before releasing. The problems re-occur often after 2-3days.

Amazes me you haven't figured out only a few have this problem and hundreds of thousands of people don't. Personally I think you all just need to RMA your notebooks and get the touchpad etc replaced instead of whining about bios updtates for over a year.
