    Hello there,

as an architect and casual gamer, Im interested in buying here in Germany a nice 17" laptop with a good display (around 100% sRGB, optional 100% adobeRGB too), i7-10875H, RTX 2070 Super, decent battery and no gamer looks (MSI GE65/75, Helios, Omen, etc. are excluded because of this)

These are my final three 17,3" options (2 versions of the Aero 17) + two optional 15,6"

    PCSpecialist Vyper
    (Max-17 in Europe)
    17,3" IPS 144Hz, 300cd/m2, 1/1200, EDelta 2.5-4.0, 72% NTSC, 92% sRGB, 60% adobeRGB
    i7-10875H
    RTX 2070 Super (Max-P)
    32 GB
    1 TB SSD / 2.0 kg
    / 91 Wh
    1850€

    MSI GS75
    17,3" IPS 240Hz, 300cd/m2, 1/960, EDelta 1.5-3.5, 100% sRGB, 67% adobeRGB

    i7-10750H
    RTX 2070 Max-Q
    16 GB
    512 GB SSD / 2.4 kg / 82 Wh
    2220€

    Aero 17 WB
    17,3" IPS 144Hz, 300cd/m2, 1/1200, EDelta 2.5-4.0, 72% NTSC, 92% sRGB, 60% adobeRGB, X-Rite Pantone
    i7-10750H
    RTX 2070 Max-Q
    16 GB
    512 GB SSD / 2.5 kg / 94 Wh
    1950€

    Aero 17 HDR KB
    17,3" IPS 4K 60Hz, HDR400, 25-50ms, 1/1300, EDelta 0.5-2.0, 100% sRGB, 88% adobeRGB, X-Rite Pantone
    i7-10875H

    RTX 2060
    16 GB
    512 GB SSD / 2.5 kg / 94 Wh
    2000€

    MSI GS66
    15,6" IPS 240Hz, 300cd/m2, 1/1500, EDelta 1.0-7.3, 100% sRGB, 65% adobeRGB
    i7-10750H
    RTX 2070 Max-Q
    16 GB
    1 TB SSD / 2.1 kg / 99 Wh
    2150€

    Legion Creator 7i
    15,6" IPS 144Hz, HDR400, 100% adobeRGB
    i7-10875H

    RTX 2070 Max-Q
    16 GB
    512 GB SSD / 2.2 kg / 80 Wh
    1880€

    PCspecialist Vyper 17
(Eluktronics Max-17) seems to be the better option price/value...as it offers the full RTX 2070 Super, 32GB Ram, and the 8 cores of the 10875H for the best price.

The display could be better as it offers less than 100% but 92% sRGB, but I don't think that the price difference of the GS75 or Aero 17 HDR is worth because of the Max-Q GPU (and 10750H)

I would consider going down to 15,6" if they offer the full pack including the 2070 Max-P Super, but they just offer 2060 or 2070 Max-Q for that price...

What are your thoughts? which one would you recommend me?

    Many thanks! :)

I haven't seen any of these notebooks and we just met. How could I possibly be expected to give an opinion? :p

If you like the PCspecialist Vyper 17, then that's what you should get. You're the one that has to live with it.

Msi creator 17 if you are willing to spend more for the best display on a laptop.

Yeah unfortunately state of the art tech always costs a pretty penny.

If you dont mind going with 15.6 inch laptops there are plenty with 4k OLED displays that are just as good but not as bright. Notably theres the Gigabyte Aero 15 line of laptops.

    Thanks! the Aero 17 HDR KB is in the list above with a nice 17,3" IPS 4K 60Hz, HDR400, 25-50ms, 1/1300, EDelta 0.5-2.0, 100% sRGB, 88% adobeRGB for 2000€.

The color reproduction is quite nice, but the response time is not really good for gaming (25-50ms), 60Hz like all 4K displays, and it costs 2000€ (150€ more than the Vyper 17, with 16GB Ram instead 32GB, 512GB SSD instead 1TB, and with the RTX 2060 instead of the RTX 2070 Super...)...so should I pay around 300€ more for a better display but a less powerful GPU? thats the key... :)

LCD displays are a far cry from OLED/Mini-LED displays. And if you're already sacrificing refresh rate for 4k, why not get an OLED display?

The debate here should be high refresh 1080p LCD vs 60hz 4k OLED displays. Its not worth getting a 4k LCD display

Indeed, you're right! the OLED display of the Aero 15 is a good example with excellent color and response time, but it has just 60hz and apparently PWM at 60hz too (really low)...and as I use the laptop for long periods, im not sure about that...

Here in Germany the Aero 15 KB OLED costs 1940€ with i7-10875H, RTX 2060, 16GB RAM, 512Gb SSD and its awesome 15,6" OLED display... or 2500€ with RTX 2070 Super Max-Q

    https://www.notebookcheck.net/Gigab...eview-Taking-the-lead-with-OLED.464829.0.html

So considering the whole picture, I still tend to the Vyper 17 thanks to the bigger 17,3" display (its a plus for CAD, Photoshop, etc.), RTX 2070 Super, 32GB RAM, 1Tb SSD, higher refresh and no PWM for 1850€...

60hz pwm isn't an issue in my opinion. If you are using an OLED phone then you would have experienced it already. Its measureable sure but most people simply don't notice it.
