My 10 year old vehicle has 20 years of smoke in it. I'm just going to ditch the carpet and bedliner the floor. If nothing else, the smell of the bedliner will overcome the smell of the cigarettes.

*Follows only 2 of those rules*

No smoking, no air fresheners. My dog is in my car constantly, and If I get fast food then I'll snack on it on the way home. And I always have a coke. I do have rubber mats though.

For my car I use Optimum Leather Protectant on my leather seats and everything on the inside. I even use it to clean the rubber floor mats, and this stuff is like crack. I'm no salesman so I'm not trying to push this product because I want to make my quota, but it really makes your car smell like a brand new car.

Leather should never be cleaned or polished with any chemical products. You can wipe it off with a damp, but not wet, cloth with only a little mild soap.

You also should never, and I do mean never, put any sort of chemical on your dash. The manufacturers go to great lengths to make plastics non-reflective. It even makes a difference as far as safety, since reflections can limit outward visibility.

I spray a half bottle of orange citrus and my car smells good for about 2 months.

I know there has to be some sort of product you can use to make the car smell "new." My brother just got a new used car and it smells like a new car.
