    Hi,
I need to change my Dell E5470 TN screen for an IPS. (connector on the right 30pins when looking at the back of lcd)
Which reference do you recommend for photo editing ?

I want the best one with 100% sRGB and best color accuracy out of the box.

    Does it even exist ?

    Thanks

    Hello PeterFR,

Have you experienced any issues with this IPS screen so far. Is the screen refresh rate 60 hz or less? What was the resolution of your the original TN panel that your laptop came installed with?

I finally bought a LG PHILIPS LP140WF1 and I have no issue with it. You can easily change your screen, just check that the connector is the same and be ready to re-use your connector because you generally only receive the screen itself without the connector. The only difference with my old TN panel is that the inverter which power the backlight produce a lot of heat. Also it seems to impact negatively the battery run time.

My advice is be careful with LCD seller on eBay or anywhere else because they often don't send the exact ordered model and it's really annoying.

    Thank you PeterFR for replying.

I live in Pakistan, so sadly no ebay or amazon here. I know a couple of hardware shops in my area that purchases laptop IPS/TN LCD screens in bulk. I will try a couple of them to see which performs the best in terms of brightness, colors and viewing angles. I intend to use the existing 30-pin cable of my E5470. Am I correct to assume that any 14" IPS screen be it Samsung or LG that has a 30-pin connector should work on my laptop? Are there any other factors or gotchas I should watch out for before purchasing a new IPS screen?
