Chrome feels fastest for me, especially for its pdf viewer. It does eat more ram but over here we start at 16gb and only go up from there, so no big deal

Expecting to have to switch once manifest v3 makes adblockers useless. I already use firefox on my ubuntu installs since it comes by default, and stockholm syndrome will probably kick in eventually if im forced to it or some other browswer

AdGuard works at the OS level so it won’t be affected by Manifest V3. It’s not freeware but they do offer lifetime licenses, and it goes on sale frequently. I’ve been using it for years, and their support is pretty good when it comes to ads that get missed, software bugs, etc.

The only thing that would make it perfect in my eyes is the ability to whitelist specific YouTube channels where you would be OK with ads playing but not others. It doesn't affect me personally since I have YT Premium, but if I didn't, I don't want to block ads across the whole platform to where it would hurt the creators I most enjoy watching.

I've been using Chrome as my main browser for many years now, and I'm not going to change it. Sometimes, I use Opera for work as as back up.

I like it for a lot of reasons. One of the things I like about it is the ability to select sections of web pages where rubbish like Facebook and Twitter links and clickbait tabloid trash appears. It's nice to see nothing but white space where that crap used to be.

Thinking about buying Adguard family lifetime license but I see the price is $169. Is there ever a discount or is this the lowest price and thanks. Sorry, I just noticed 40% coupon.

Yes, I have seen it as low as about $20. I think that is what I paid. Usually on the big sales like Black Friday and Christmas is when the prices are lowest.

Glad you found a 40% off coupon.

Probably fine. If you can register the key to a personal account on the my.adguard.com web site, then it's legit. If you can't then ask for a refund for selling you bogus keys. That applies to ESET/NOD32 as well. If you cannot add the key to your own account at my.eset.com, then the sale is not legitimate.
